South Korea has elected a new President. Yoon Suk-yeol’s has pledged to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality and has blamed the rise of feminism for the low birth rate in a country which has one of the worst records on women’s rights in the developed world. He has said he will aim to develop technology to carry out a pre-emptive strike on North Korea if Pyongyang looks to attack Seoul and he supports sanctions on Kim Jong-un’s regime which will bring him more in line with the policies of South Korea’s main ally, the United States.

We have to be so careful at this time. Our enemy is cunning and devious. He has us all looking at Ukraine and sows his malice elsewhere. The situation in Korea is intensely dangerous, and into this comes a man who is talking about pre-emptive strikes. The North Koreans are ever ready to make war. Suppose they now decide on a pre-emptive strike of their own?

A cunning enemy might think that with all the focus on Ukraine, now is the time. Pray hard for the situation in Ukraine, but don’t take your eyes from the wider picture. Pray for the binding of any aggression in Korea.
