A poem is a discussion. For me it’s mostly a discussion between myself and the Lord I follow. I just let it turn into words. That’s what makes a poem live. It has me in it – or you in it. That’s why there is no criticism nor need we fear it. In “Stronger” I am struggling to choose. Never easy.

I want to be

strong stronger

tear down the trees

and crush the mountains

I want to be strong

turning back the tide

defying everything

“Can’t be”

you said

“Strength is found

in weakness”

Don’t want weakness

yet

here’s the thing

when I am weak

weaker weakest

you feel close

closer closest

which to choose?
