PRESIDENT Joe Biden has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power” during a major speech in Poland. The President was talking about the invasion of Ukraine to a crowd at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.
He said: “A dictator, bent on rebuilding an empire, will never erase the people’s love for liberty.
“Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia, for free people refuse to live in a world of hopelessness and darkness.” “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”
Sad to see a head of state blaspheming, but let’s step over that. What we have here is the head of the state which has the most powerful military in the history of the world suggesting regime change. We must assume that this is going to be the position of the USA. Yesterday it was “Respond.” Today it is “Cannot remain in power.” This is very dangerous rhetoric. Maybe it is for domestic consumption – nearly 60% of Americans believe Mr Biden has not handled this situation well and the mid term elections are due.
However, that’s two days of alarming and potentially inflammatory remarks from Mr Biden. Dangerous.
Lord we look to you alone to calm nerves. Let every agitation that will disturb world peace ceased from our body politics. Please bring the Russian, Ukrainian war to an end now, Lord, as you spread your love on the nations.
Father we silence the voice of the accuser that is trying to inflame parisons in this Russian Ukrainian conflict in Jesus name Amen
