Ready for the off!

Mary and I are preparing to leave for Ghana at the end of October. This always makes a great deal of work. There’s a lot of preparation for international travel and a lot of preparation for what we’re going to do in Ghana.

Our Internet work continues to grow. We closed two WhatsApp channels last month, and then it found the need to open five more!

* “Bring them to me”  is a channel where grandparents can ask for their grandchildren to be prayed for. We have over 80 grandchildren being prayed for on a rotating list.

* “Pray for my daughter” is a channel where those of us that have daughters are having them prayed for daily –  again in a rotating list.

These two channels are proving extremely popular and fill a need for pastoral care and support for parts of our family.

* “The Lord loves Michael” is a WhatsApp channel praying for our beloved “grandson”, Michael Sefa, son of Paul. Michael has sickle cell illness and we’re praying for him through these years. The growing years are with the hardest for this illness.

* “Seedbed” is praying for some specific children in our school.

“Good morning mission,” and “Wednesday night with Jim” are all in the planning. Recently our praise time has moved to the morning and I’m doing it live from a local church. This is proving very successful although the Internet can be a bit unpredictable.

We are developing strategies for the Faith stadium and for implementing a boarding policy within our school.

We are well supported by our administration team and by our trustees.

All seems to be going well, and shows no sign of slacking off. Sometimes we tell the Lord that years are increasing, and I hear Abraham telling me “Get on with it!”
