Back in the sun!

Monday November 6th 2023

Mary and I arrived safely in Ghana last week. Thank you for all your prayer support.

We have quickly set up our programmes. Mary visited her group “Bright flowers” and set up her group for our church children which began last Saturday. More details of that next week.

I have set up meetings of our revival fellowship, our guardian fellowship and our intercessory group. All the Sundays for our time here are now fully booked.

I have reactivated most of our live streams. “Good morning mission” begins again on Tuesday November 7th. Wednesday morning teaching for the whole month is based on the life of Elijah, and is going well. The 08.00 broadcast on Facebook has restarted on Thursdays and Fridays. The Sunday night worship is back.

The school has a really nice feel to it. On Friday I notice that although we closed at 3 pm  most of the children were still playing on the grass. I asked the head teacher why they’re not going home. “I like to see them playing” she said. And she’s right. Where else can they go and enjoy themselves in a safe and healthy environment?

It is lovely and warm as always! There are some benefits in coming to Africa in November! We smiled at your storm and all the government warnings as all storms here are violent and is what we expect. We just take shelter until it is passed and then carry on with our lives. We only worry when the government warns us of a coming storm!

More detail in the next update.
