Last year the Ghana education authority sent a video to all the schools showing something that happened in Nigeria. A gang of armed men broke into a school and kidnapped some of the children. We were asked to ensure that we had a plan should such a thing happen in our school. It may seem rather far fetched to a western audience, but Africa is a different place. So now we have in school installed an alarm to alert the whole school should any problem arise. Let’s hope we never have to use it.
