Here’s something every Ghanaian is all too familiar with –

“The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has issued an apology to passengers affected by power outages experienced at the Kotoka International Airport on Friday, March 1, 2024. Passengers travelling to and from various destinations were left stranded on Friday night due to power failures at the airport.”

Maybe tourists were surprised but no one who lives or works in the country would be in the least surprised. Power outages are so common that we hardly bother to mention them anymore.

I guess this won’t make the media – “On Saturday March 2nd Pastor and Mrs Smith had no power because one of the 3 phases in the transformer had failed. No one answered the phone call to the electricity company.” …….It’s just part of life!
