Instant reflections of life in Ghana today

I came across this – “Recent heavy rainfall in the Anlo Constituency of the Volta Region has resulted in extensive damage to several public Senior High Schools and basic schools, leaving a significant impact on the educational infrastructure in the area. The storm tore off the roofing of structures in seven Senior High Schools and 18 basic schools, exposing students and staff to harsh weather conditions and disrupting academic activities in the affected institutions.
The headmaster of Anlo Senior High School, Wisdom Adeti, spoke out about the urgent need for government intervention to address the pressing issue.”
The African climate is harsh and dangerous. When the storms come with the accompanying high winds serious structural damage is very common. It’s wise to stay inside when the storm comes because there’s no knowing what will blow down onto the road or the house. There’s not much we can do except live with the storms, keep the storm gullies clear and repair what is broken. Very hard when this hits education – a sector which is so precious to us
