We sometimes forget in the UK just how serious bad weather can be in other nations.
Recently a friend of mine died in hospital in Ghana. Naturally when he was in the end of life situation his family was sent for. But extremely heavy rain had broken up the roads and caused the traffic to be almost impossible to negotiate. What should have taken an hour took half a morning by which time he had died.
We just have to accept this as a reality of our lives in Ghana. We cannot work against the climate and we just have to accept sometimes that we could not overcome it. It’s just the way we have to live.
